- I was in the Air Force for 4 years. In 2008 I left the Air Force and my old life in Chicago and never looked back when I joined the Army. I am an Army Medic and an Army wife. I have the most amazing, understanding, loving husband in the world! I am a mother of 2 wonderful girls, Eve and Elise. Sometimes it's stressful trying to balance out my different roles of Soldier, Mother, Wife, Student, and Leader but I wouldn't have it any other way.
